DELIVERY INFOMATION

  

IMPORTANT - COVID related closures are to be expected in this time. We have all the government recommendations in place and are following all rules. If at any time we have to close at short notice this may effect deliveries. We will always contact you if there are any problems with delayed freight due to COVID or staff isolation closures.

+ please write in NOTES TO SHOP if the recipient is in isolation

WHERE WE DELIVER

+ Botanic Republic deliver as far north as Palm Cove and South to Goldsborough with all suburbs between.

+ We do not deliver to the Tablelands.

+ Deliveries are made Monday to Saturday. There are no deliveries on public holidays or Sundays (Even delivery drivers deserve a day off).

 

WHEN WE DELIVER
+ Same Day Delivery - Monday to Thursday orders MUST be placed by 11am

Friday and Saturday orders MUST be placed by 10.30am.

+ All deliveries are made between 11am and 6pm

+ All attempts will be made to deliver to SCHOOL ADDRESSES before 3pm

+ Deliveries to Gordonvale schools need to be placed 48 hours in advance of delivery date

+ WORK PLACES - deliveries will be made by 5pm

+ Time specific deliveries ie. am or before 3pm requests, there will be an additional cost. If you need an AM or BEFORE 3PM (that is not a school) you will need to CALL the shop - do not put these requests in the "notes to shop"

+ PLEASE DO NOT put your delivery time requests in the "NOTES FOR SHOP" we will NOT be able to fill these requests and we will not always be able to contact you to tell you.

 

COSTS

+ Delivery is a flat rate of $15

+ AM and Before 3pm (schools excluded) will have an extra cost and you will need to contact the shop to place these orders or pay the additional fee

 

GENERAL DEETS

+ The sender will be notified when the delivery has been done.

+ Deliveries are no longer contactless, if you require a contactless delivery please write in NOTES TO SHOP

+ If a delivery can not be made successfully due to an incorrect address or not having access to a property a re-delivery fee will apply.  We will contact you before a re-delivery.

+ If you selected in store collect, flowers will be available on your nominated day - 10am to 2pm during the week and 10am to 12pm on Saturday. Please write in NOTES TO SHOP what time you will be in store. The shop is not open for collects on Sundays.

+ If you need to cancel your order, you will need to PHONE the shop by noon the day before the nominated delivery day. Custom orders need a minimum of 48 hours notice for cancellation. Refunds will only be given if these guidelines are followed. Refunds will not be given if cancellations are made on the nominated delivery day.

+ SUMMER DELIVERY (December to April)

Being a tropical climate with high rain fall our delivery driver does live in a flood prone area. If he is unable to travel into the city there may be a delay in delivery times and dates during this time. We WILL NOTIFY you if  any changes need to be made due to our driver or the delivery address being inaccessible due to flood.

 

CYCLONE/RAIN POLICY

Living in a cyclone prone area brings it's own challenges. We may implement this policy anytime in the months of November to April

+ The safety of our staff and driver are the most important, if we decide it is not safe to deliver flowers we will contact you and let you know.

+ In the case of a lot of rain, flooding may occur. If it is flooded we WILL NOT drive through

+ We will not guarantee delivery is made on the day you request. We will let you know.

+ Flower availability. All flowers are air freighted into Cairns. Cyclones may delay freight also substitutes of some flower might be made. This will be at the florist discretion and will be to an equal value.

+ Reasons we may not deliver the flowers on time or the nominated day include but are not limited to - Power outages, road closures, flooding, potential damage to flowers and most importantly the safety of our driver.

 

SALE OF ALCOHOL

This is directly from the Queensland Government - 

Gift baskets and floral arrangements

Businesses selling limited quantities of liquor as part of a floral arrangement or gift basket are exempt where:

  • the sale is part of a florist's business or the business of a person selling gift baskets
  • the quantity of the liquor is not more than 2L and, if the liquor includes spirits, the quantity of spirits is not more than 1L
  • the floral arrangement or gift basket must be delivered as a gift to an adult other than the purchaser of the floral arrangement or gift basket
  • the gift is to be delivered to a place other than the business where the sale was made
  • the total value of the liquor and the container in which it is supplied is not more than 75% of the gift's sale price
  • the liquor was purchased on a retail basis.

Please note we can refuse delivery based on the above.
